Samuel Heiniger Named to Forbes 30 Under 30 🎉

NEWS

We are incredibly proud to share that our founder, Samuel Heiniger, has been recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list - a well-deserved milestone that reflects his vision, dedication, and pioneering work in energy storage innovation.

At ETH Zurich, Samuel is conducting groundbreaking research on new methods for the safe and long-term storage of hydrogen. At the Hönggerberg campus, he operates a pilot plant that uses the iron–steam process to store excess summer electricity in iron and release it again as hydrogen during winter.

His leadership has been pivotal in the development and scaling of 1.4-cubic-meter reactors capable of holding up to three tons of untreated iron ore. This work demonstrates how chemical energy storage technologies can meaningfully contribute to seasonal power supply and, in the future, help stabilize entire neighborhoods or industrial sites.

At Iron Energy, we are honored to have a founder whose research not only advances scientific frontiers but also shapes the foundation of our mission: enabling stable, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions for the world.

Congratulations, Samuel — we are proud to build the future of energy with you. 🚀🌱
